I actually have one question and one issue.

The question is if I use securityroles does that control both viewing and downloading. My situation is that I want to show a complete listing of files for download to all users. Some files are available to all, while others can only be downloaded by subscribers. The idea is to show non-subscribers what could be available if they join our association. Can the repository so this with securityroles?

The issue I have is that I have added the SECURIYROLES token to my upload form (so it is showing up and I can select options), but upon submit/upload the attribute doesn't appear to be saving. If I go back and edit the document uploaded, it does not show any SECURITYROLE selections.

Hi,

  I am experiencing the same problem with SecurityRoles not saving.  I came here to report the same problem and found your entry.  I hope someone has a solution.

  I have "forced" security by adding the rolenames to the underlying grmRepositoryObjects table, field SecurityRoles.  Enter them as a comma separated list like Role1,Role2,Role3.  Then you will be able to test how the security works for your roles.
