Hi, I have a new install of 6.1.1.  When I place a text module, then edit, then try to insert a picture I get a problem.  I click on Insert Media, then upload, it uploads the image (I checked in the Portal 2 folder) to the root of the portal (in this case portal 2), however the file does not show up in the Image Manager, even after refresh, or returning to it after closing down the edit module and restarting.  Image manager appears to be point in the right spot /Portals/2/ but it does not show the jpg image file in the filename window.  Also, when I look in the file manager I can see the jpg file, so it is there, the problem is that Image Manager does not see it, so I have no way of inserting a picture into the html module - which is a show stopper.

Any ideas??

Is this a child portal or a parent portal?

It is a parent portal. The images work in Portal 0, however in Portal 2, Portal 3, and Portal 4 they do not work. Which database table is the Image Manager looking at to get a list of files? It seems that either the record is not being inserted after the image is uploaded, or the record is incorrect.

Hi,

I have the SAME problem. I have a clean 6.1.1 install, and have tried all I can think of.

Portal 0 works just fine, but any parent portal does not. If I try to use the image manager, it can not see any images so I can not use images in the site using image manager.

Then if I upload images to a folder I can see them in the filemanager, but image manager can not even see the folder in which the images are uploaded to.

If I write some html viewing one of the uploaded images, it shows up just fine on the page.

Can it be a problem regarding security settings in the filsystem on the server? I use Windows server 2008 R2 SP1.

In  IIS I had to change the account used by the application pool which the dotnetnuke installation is using. Default account was ApplicationPoolIdentity, but I had to change that to Networkservice in order to have the site working. Before changing I also tried giving both Networkservice and ApplicationPoolIdentity Full permissions on the folder used by the dnn installation.

Now Networkservice only has Full permissions on the folder.

We are of course very ancious to have this solved. Has anyone any idea?

regards,
Peter

It doesn't appear to be a security issue.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?
