Hello, I'm following this tutorial:  and I have finished except now when I view the DNN module I get this response.

A critical error has occurred.
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

How do I go about tracking this error down.

If you browse the site with the host user you will get usually get more verbose error than the usual user sees. Then go to Admin -> Log Viewer: here you will see a much more detailed description on the important events on the site, including errors.

vmasanas is right. I had a similar error when working with the GuestBook dnn tutorial. I looked in the Log Viewer and realized that my stored procedures in SqlDataProvider class were named dnn_YourCompanyName_GuestBook_ProcName. I deleted the "dnn_" before the "YourCompanyName" and this module worked alright.

In anycase, the error message you find in the Log Viewer should be able to better guide you.

Good Luck.
