David,
1. that threw me too - but you you only access to vote at different levels (you can view when you will reach those levels at http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/dotnetn... ). IMHO the UI needs to be change to either hide the arrows or provide some feedback e.g. "you need to have X points to vote up posts". I'm sure the community team will be discussing this and other things soon and pushing out updates. For what it's worth I think up-voting should be allowed for all registered dotnentuke.com

2 & 3 - i thinkt\ they're fair comments. As this is an opensource project perhaps the best idea is to log them as bugs at http://dnnradtagcloud.codeplex.com/wo...

So, in looking at my Privileges under My Dashboard, I see that there actually are levels for "Comment Everywhere" and "Edit Questions & Answers". So the functionality for #2 and #3 exists in some capacity.

I think it'd be very wise to decrease or eliminate the level for commenting.

For editing, I'm guessing there's not a separation between editing your own questions and answers vs. other peoples. It makes sense to have a fairly high level for editing other peoples stuff but editing your own stuff should always be allowed.

I am now able to edit my own answer. So, one item of the 3 is now fixed. Yeah!

I'm still frustrated by the reputation system. It appears having your question voted up is only worth one point. Giving an answer, no matter how bad, is also worth one point. That's crazy. Having your answer voted up should be worth much more as it is other people validating the answer.

Still very frustrated by the level it takes to vote answers and questions up and add comments. It's particularly bad at this point since there aren't many people that have privileges to vote things up so even if you do give a good answer, you won't get many reputation points.

Glad people are listening to our concerns though and I'm looking forward to improvements and having this section of the site really take off and mature. When in doubt, look at how StackOverflow does it, they really nailed it.

+1.  You'd really have to hunt for compelling reasons to not copy SO in these areas.

Actually, upvotes do count more than 1, it's just that a certain number of upvotes are needed for the reputation points to be assigned to the user - see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/C...

In general I think that the Q&A module would be improved if the reputation also broke down the points i.e. showed what came from questions, answers, accepted answers, upvotes and downvotes - i'm sure this is the on the radar. It's important to note that the community team who developed this weren't trying to create all of stackoverflow overnight, it's still a very young project (and opensource so you can contribute) and I'm sure functionality will be tweaked and hopefully also the scoring system. It's certainly very subjective, as many people would like to see abilities rated differently (for instance I'm of the opinion that upvotes should be available to almost everyone), but don't lose sight of the fact that there is little data and users at present, as the exchange grows then a number of annoyances will go away as more users will have more capabilities
