Hi all,

I recently upgrade to the latest version of DNN5 on my production server. It's up and running. Yah!

I am planning to upgrade to DNN6 now and am wondering if anyone has ran into any major issues on the back-end. Let me explain, I have a custom module I programmed under DNN3, since then I have been able to upgrade the versions and still have that module running. I haven't updated the coding to LINQ, but everything still works. Just wondering if there is anything I should watch out for.

BTW, The current setup is ASP.net 2.5 and MS SQL 2005 on Godaddy Servers.

Thanks

Thuan

There were some reports of issues upgrading to dnn6x on godaddy - i would check with their help forums firstly.
As for custom modules - it really depends on how the custom module interacts with the dnn core - there have been a lot of api revisions since 3.x - BUT if the module is running on dnn5.x there is a good chance it will continue doing so in dnn6.x.

Westa

PS - there is no need for things like linq in dnn6 - the dnn core itself is all sql provider model based - with no linq
