So ive got a customer who needs a store solution for his DNN 631 site.
Hes distributing toys and therefore need a B2B oriented solution.

The basics of what he need is the following:

- Multilanguage support (Danish, English, French and German).
- Display of SRP and netprice for each product.
- Separate module for categories overview/shop menu, thatll go in any container he wants.
- Qty discount option
- Ability to show a clean product catalog (no pricetags, add to cart-options, etc) to non-registred users
- Ability to set up multiple shippingoptions.
- No payment handling is necessary (so far).

I think it sounds really simple and pretty basic, yet after spending almost the whole day trying solutions i found on snowcowered, i still got nothing.

The mainproblem has been that some of the solutions couldnt be utilized by anyone with a geek lvl less than 9/10 and some even required programming in order to make use of the power behind the tool. :-(

Others simply were messed up in the GUI so that it was impossible to tell heads from tails and some produced erros when deployed.
I tested all the trials on a fresh, clean installation of DNN631.

I used VPASP 6 yrs ago (not a dnn module) and it worked like a charm, had a very userfriendly UI and didnt take a supergeek to neither set up or maintain and basically thats what im looking for, the DNN version of VPASP.

Thx in advance!  :-)

Catalook would do everything you need, but it is far from an easy solution. Out of the box, the look and feel is frankly strange and customizing it is a pain. But it has all the features if that helps in your decision.

Thx for the replies. :-)

Eileen: thats good to know, because im pretty frustrated about this. :-S

Daniel: Thats exactly my impression of catalook and its the backend thats the problem, because its not me who will be maintaning the store and also ive seen opensource solutions free of charge that was so much more userfriendly and way less confusing.

Right now im trying the NB Store which seems to be pretty good, it has a nice layout on the backend as well and it has a "nuntio.content"-ish multilanguage handling where u simply switch the language input for the fields and put in ur own translations.

The only tweaking it seems i will have to do is on the design here and there as it doesnt follow the sites css all the way, but so far its the best solution ive found among them all.

Though Viper Cart is nice too and is pretty straightforward to set up, but thats also a $300 piece of shopping cart software so its ought to be good id say.

Yet it lacks the multilanguage support im after and therefore doesnt cover all the most important things for me.

Once again, thx for ur replies and hopefully there will be others who can/will benefit from this thread in the future. :.)

Cheers!

Have you tried an external solution like http://www.ecwid.com . I have made a DotNetNuke widget to easily integrate this in a dnn portal. You can find this in the dotnetnuke widget suite on codeplex
