Hi.

NB-Store on codeplex.
The best multi language store you can find!

Thats also what i ended up with, NB store has the nicest backoffice among those ive tried and some of them were $300 solutions that i found on snowcovered.

NB store has some issues with the multilanguage support, it also says so on their website, that multilanguage support is best obtained by using DSLocalizator (which i was already using anyway).

NB store is very flexiable and works out of the box, yet i needed to hide som prices so only users of a special role would see them and after studying the template files briefly, i was adding my own lines in there which did exactly what i wanted them to do. :-)

So far id say NB Store is highly recommendable and by default itll suit most ppls needs shopwise.

Speaking of the NB store, would anyone happen to know what file to access in order to style the category treemenu?

Case is that it has some annoying ">" in it that the storeowner wants removed (and i dont blame him) but i cant find anywhere to remove them. :-(

Just my quick two cents:

we have built numerous eStores with both catalook and NB store. Some of them multilingual and to be honest up to 2.3.2 release 29 (I think the latest is rel31 now) catalook is a much better solution for multilingual.

I agree that Catalook is much more difficult to setup and style but if you get the hang of it you could probably build a template within a day or two. Yet again, for not so demanding stores I would recommend NB store for the ease of use and setup. Oh, and the loading speeds.

What I personally think that NBStore is lacking (vs Catalook) for the majority of our clients are: reward points, a plethora of product options and some search functions.

Hope it helps,

/Loukas

Ton it sounds like u have some xp with the NB Store solution?

Plz if u can id appreciate some hlp, i tried posting on Codeplex NB Store forum, but im not really drowning in answers in there. lol

First off the cartview (the page u go to when u hit the checkout button (cartlist.ascx)) has a bug so the products listed shows in english only, regardless of what language that has been selected.

Second im setting up this shop for a customer who does B2B only and therefore he wants me to strip out the "discount"-stuff and dont show the retail prices, except in the productlist and productdetails view.

So far ive managed to remove the discount fields from the cartlist.ascx, but whenever i try to replace the "UnitCost" with "DealerCost", the page produces an error. :-(

I know i could get around this by simply leaving out the use of the "Dealer" pricefield and use the "Sell" pricefield for dealer prices, however id prefer the "real" solution over that kind of workaround.

Cheers!
