I'm getting a

Method 'get_ConnectionString' in type 'DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider' from assembly 'DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider, Version=3.3.0.22665, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' does not have an implementation.

 error message after upgrading to 5.4 any ideas on what can cause this? I made sure all the references are pointing to the correct dll

Thanks that was it, but for some reason whenever I build in vs2010 it keeps putting the old dll back in. I have changed all the hint paths and references. Going to have to look into this deeper

if the provider class is a separate project, it needs to get an individual version number. for DNN SQL data provider, if you include both in your solution, make sure not to build either DNN core nor core providers
