Hi

My dnn version is 5.6.2 and my editors have great problems with their IE compatibility setting.

Normally, when they log in and try to add a link or add an image in the editor, the popup box is empty. This is when IE is in 'normal' compatibility mode (the compatibility icon is grey).
In the webdeveloper tool (F12) the browser mode says "IE9" and document mode "IE9 Standard".

If i then click the compatibility icon so it turns blue, the popup boxes act normal and all editing is okay.
In the webdeveloper tool (F12) the browser mode now says "IE9 compatibilty" and document mode "IE7 Standard".
However, the menu on the pages looks like crap, until i click the compatibility icon back to grey.

Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, "U-name-it" editor users has no problems at all (I LOVE THOSE USERS!!!!)

So, pleeeeease, help me and my poor IE users !

what does it look like when you try that with the html editor for these forums - the telerik editor used in 5.x was replaced by a new one which has had a number of telerik updates -it may be that you simply need to upgrade to get one that provides a better experience for older users (i.e. IE7 users or IE8/IE9 users running in compatibility mode [which makes the page operate as though using IE7])

Hi, the popup boxes for Image and Hyperlinks are totally empty.

The Telerik Editor Provider is version 5.6.1, is that what u was asking for?

I also have the DotNetNuke Fck Html Editor Provider installed (version 2.0.4) is that ok?

AHA!!! (maybe :-)

I found this article http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Modify-HTML-Editor-Provider.aspx   and looked in my web.config file. There is this line:

<htmlEditor defaultProvider="FckHtmlEditorProvider">

Can it be that if i use the telerik editor provider as defaultprovider all my sorrows will disapear :-) ?

its quite possible ,FCKeditor hasnt been updated in years and in fact the base FCK project retired and relaunched as the CKEditor (for which you can download a dotnetnuke provider at http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com/ )
