You need to change the profile of the user you log on as, whether that is host or anything else.

For unauthenticated users it should use the setting in Site Settings unless you didn't disable browser language detection.

Not doing these changes is not specific to the events module, it is how you should set up your DNN site for any non -en-US language.

Unfortunately, the site i'm working on is not live at the moment.

but i found the problem, we were using a seo url provider module and it was messing with languages :)

thanks for all the help.
