like every upgrade process I always do , copy the upgrade package with overwrite and then http://localhost/mysite/install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade

upgrade process is fired up and goes successfully.

I don't know what the problem is when upgrading from 6.1.5 to 6.2

if anyone experience this problem, please advice.

We fixed this bug in 6.2.0 Dev/Test cycle:
http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?ID=20817&PROJID=2

Does the full error message in your Event Log match the message in the above bug?
