Good day.  I am running on an old version of Dot Net Nuke (2005), which I have been using since '04.  I am obviously in bad need of an upgrade and have just started that process.  However, when I try to log in to my website, I am getting the following error:

A Critical Error has Occured - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Does anyone know how I can fix this in order to log into my website?

Thank you,

Lori Ellis

What version are you updating from to which version, the latest one? I think there are upgrade requirements for migrating old install to new one where you are skipping version numbers. You couldn't upgrade version 4 to version 6 in one step?

There are some videos in the library that explain upgrades: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Video-Library.aspx

Thank you for your response.  My issue is though, that at this point, I can not even log in to my old version.  I am not even sure what I am currently running on.  The last thing I want to do is build my website anew.  Do you know how I can find out which version I am currently running on?  Thank you.
