Still dealing with issue from previous post.

All files downloads through he repository are being corrupted (appears that they are getting compressed somehow as server file size is larger than downloaded file size)

However, the DNN Documents module, when referencing the exact same file on the server, downloads a clean copy.

What could be causing the corruption through the repository. Is there a file size mismatch between the DB entry and the actual file size? What else could be causing the problem.

PS: It only reappeared when I upgraded to DNN 6.02.00

it's caused by compression on the server. Check your dnn config, and your IIS config. you may need to add an exclusion to prevent your compression component from attempting to compress the data stream from the repository page

i have the following in my web.config file and my host claims that this disables all compression.

<urlCompression doDynamicCompression="false" doStaticCompression="false" />

IS there another exclusion tag to use?

Also trying to understand why the upgrade to 6.x caused this. All was working with no compression in 5.x

Is there a public url where I can try to download a file? I would like to look at the response header to see what's going on if I can. or use Internet Explorer's Developer Tools and do a network capture, after you attempt to download a file, look at the response header and see if there is some compression being applied
