Hi,

I recently went through the process of upgrading a DNN 4.9 site to DNN 6.2.3. On  a fist glance the outcomes looked reasonable.

The "weather changed" when i installed a module of a known supplier (i bought the module from the DNN store).

- The licensing process failed for about 50% of the portals: they were not shown in the portal list for which the license applies.

- those sites are show in sitemanagement ...

- and when i want to add the module (page-. modules -> add) the newly installed module is not shown in the dropdownlist ...

Is this an upgrade error? or a bug? How to repair it?

All help is highly appreciated!

Best regards.

Hi,

I solved the problem myself by this forum.

What actually happened:-

a) the module was seen as a premium module

b) which was authorized to some portals but not all

I went to appliation, site management and inspected the site properties wrt. to the modules. Added the module to the list of modules.

Problem solved.

Of course it remains strange that during the licensing proces (i guess one of the DNN API's) this inconsistent behaviour is possible.
