I just installed DotNetNuke on 2 machines.
Local machine version 4.3
WebHost4Life version 4.0 - (hosts own fast install option)

I notice that the Forum module is install by default on my local machine but not on the WebHost4Life account.

Is this usual?

How do I install the Forum module on WebHost4Life?

Thanks!

ver 4.3.1 (to 8 July 2006) ver 4.3.2 (to 20 July 2006) ver 4.3.3 (to 5 Aug 2006) ver 4.3.4 (to 20 Sep 2006) ver 4.3.5 (to 25 Dec 2006) ver 4.4.0 (to date)

DotNetNuke 4.3 does contain a different module set than 4.0, there have been modules added, updated and dropped. You can install additional modules if you have a host account for dotnetnuke: Login as host, go to host menu item Module Definitions and select upload new module. Select the module install package that you have downloaded from the project download page here on Dotnetnuke.com. Please check first, which module version is compatible with your DNN framework version.

What do you think of the idea of uploading 4.3 to WH4L and installing that instead of using their canned 4.0.2 version? Do you envisage any problems?

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I have exactly the same question, except the "important bit" which is: where do I download 4.0 Forums from?

I just installed DotNetNuke on WebHost4Life and it does tell you that you don't have the forums and you have to go get them. I called their LiveHelp who said "get the relevant version for your installation", which was bloody obvious, but my question is:

Please can you give me a url direct to the right download page for this version pointing out specifically which one to download.

I have searched this site and can find the downloads page for Forums (I believe), twice in fact. But I can't spot the download link for v4.0 of forums.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Just use the latest version. It works on 3.x and 4.x
