Is there a way to display the last few posts of the forum module on a different page?   Like the home page?

there used to be a satellite module for this purpose, but since development for Forums module has been sunsetted, I suggest switching to ActiveForums (http://activeforums.codeplex.com)

I wrote my own module that hits the database and pulls the last 4 posts. It was easier than anything I could find at the time.

please can you hare the sql queryes used? My previous active forum What's new module doesn't work anymore and it could be discontinued.

Journal module, filtering doesn't allow to select forum istance from which show last posts :(
