Hi,

I am just installing DNN 6.2 to my server - the unique thing is this is the first time I want to run a DNN installation under .NET 4.

  1. I installed .Net 4 already and set an App Pool with Classic pipeline mode.
  2. After doing every important things to be able to start the installation: the HTTP Error 503 (Service Unavailable) appears when calling the domain.

Is there anything I should change in the web.config in order to make the portal run?

Have you able to run any static [just html] or asp.net 4.0 site on that server?

IS asp.net 4.0 is registered on the server?

Check http://stackoverflow.com/questions/80...

I am able to run a simple html file if I set the Process Model to LocalNetwork for the Application Pool.

But if I use the above setting I get Error 404 which is totally weird.

Looks like either

.net 4.0 is not installed or

asp.net 4.0 is not registered or

asp.net  4.0 is not set as the application pool of your website

I set the the app pool's run mode from Classic to Integrated and now it works!

All my DNN installations use app pool with integrated mode running .net 2.0. What's the difference? Can I leave it like that?
