installed DNN using Godady application server 7.1.0, I set the user photo filed as required in profile setting, and I enabled "Require a valid Profile for Registration" in site setting. So user should to upload his photo in first login.
My problem is while user uploading the photo a popup message shown "Authentication Required" to enter user name and password.

I have try all the below options in web.config
1- Add runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"
2- Add
3- Add


Also I contacted Godady support to check the basic authentication which was enabled on server.

So what I should do?????

Mohammed, I've actually installed DNN 7.1 now twice, once locally and once out on the Internet, and in both instances I was able to get the photo upload mechanism to work. It's possible that you have something misconfigured in your setup, so I'd encourage you to review the installation videos beginning at http://www.dnnsoftware.com/Community/Learn/Video-Library/View-Video/Video/515/View/Details/DNN-7-0-Installation-Part-1-File-System-Configuration. Also, the problem you're describing is different from the original problem I was having where I simply couldn't upload profile photos (but wasn't getting an error message). This sounds like a permissions issue.

Still same issue over here.

I noticed that the picture does get uploaded when I check the folder in Portals\0\Users\003\03\3.

But the file list in "File" on the profile stays empty whatever I do.

Im using the superuser account.
Tried the "runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true" but doesn't help.

update:

I can set a profile picture for the admin account in the portal self.


I can not set a profile picture for the superuser host in the host profile editor.
It does upload (I can see that when inspecting the folde ron the disk) but it does not appaer in the file list of "My Folder" in the super user profile editor.
