Hello,

I have installed a DotNetNuke 7.0.2 website today. Its add module functioning is not working in any browser installed on my system. I have IE 9, Morzilla FF 18 and Chrome 24.0.1312.52.

Can anyone help me with that.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Namrata Mathur

Hey All,

I figured out the reason for this issue, but the reason it self is an issue :)

The page was is layout mode.

But I am not able to go to edit mod. When ever I try to go to edit mode, I automatically get redirected to home page.

In Mozilla Firefox browser, I used firebug and find out that there is an authentication issue:

DesktopModules/internalservices/API/controlbar/ToggleUserMode 401 Unauthorized

Anyone have any idea, why I am getting this error.  I am accessing portal as host user.

Regards,

Namrata Mathur

Hope this will help others.

these are the steps, you need to follow

1. backup your web.config

2. Open your web.config in a text editor

3. within the web.config file, find the <system.webserver><modules> section.

4.  If the <modules> section says <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="false"> change it to <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true">
OR
if it just says <modules>, change it to <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true">

5. Save the config file.

6. Retry by refreshing the page and trying again.  You can also test this out by trying to a do a journal post (which also uses the services framework in an authenticated way.

Thanks and Regards,

Namrata Mathur
