I have upgraded from 6.1.5 to 6.2.6 and set up the new Social modules. In the Journal Module the "Tell the world something .... " text box is available for Host and Admin accounts and on a Friends Journal however on a Users own Journal it is dead.

Any ideas what is wrong here please.

You might start by checking the permissions on the module?

Thanks Chris. I meant to say that I have checked all permissions and short of giving "Edit Module" permissions nothing works. I have the page set "All Users" and module to inherit.

Have now set up Social Groups using the Auto Config. option and the same is happening. Editor "Tell the World something ...." is only available to Host accounts and to Admin accounts if it is a Member of the Group. Not to Users that are members

 Chris,
All the permissions appear to be correct. I'm thinking that it could be something to do with the Roles. I see that there is a new Role in 6.2.6, Unverified Users In 6.1.5 I'm using Verified Accounts where a new user is Registered until they are Verified (Verified Role). In 6.2.6 they would be Unverified Users until they become Registered.

So all my Members are either Registered and not Verified or Registered and Verified.. None are and never have been Unverified Users. I registered a Test User and  yes this new User was added to the Unverified Users Role with the appropriate comments about using and Unverified account appearing. This is a test site on my local machine and email is not available so I manually added the new user to Registered Users Role. The 'Using Unverified account " message still displays. In the UsersRole table there is a Status field that I'm assuming is changed when the email link is clicked to Verify the account. I tried changing it to O and 2 (field is an int). Current setting is "1" The message stays or access is denied. And the text box still remains in active.

Could you or anyone that knows tell me what happens when and account is verified (email link) and if the Status value is changed, what to. If this is the fix I can then run an Update on my Users.

As far as I can tell this is all that is stopping me from moving to 6.2 and then to 7.  I'm migrating the site that is running Active Modules using Will's Active Migrator.
