Hi,

I am currently installing DNN 6.2.6 and have it set up on a Server that has Windows Server 2008 and IIS 7.5 and a SQL Server 2005 database.  When accessing my new site to begin installation, it passes the site permissions check, it successfully installs the database scripts.  But when I enter my username and password for the host account, i click next... it thinks a little and then stops and won't take me to the next page.  I checked the aspnet_users table and the user was not created.

Has anyone encountered this before?  What's going on?  I will say that my site did pass the Authentication test but not the Authorization test on the server but I was still able to access my site to start the installation.

Thanks,

Tanya

Turns out I was checking "Run as db_owner" on the prior installation page. I unchecked it so it could use the SQL user I indicated. Now, I am getting the following error:

Installing Database - Version 06.00.00...FAILURE 400 - The stored procedure 'dbo.UpdateDatabaseVersionAndName' doesn't exist.

I checked and my user has db_owner access to the database. I logged in as the user successfully. What am I missing here?

I've noticed that the original web.config has a semicolon after the password so it would be Password=;" But when I run the website and look back at my web.config, the semicolon is gone. Why is it automatically taking out the semicolon? Could this be part of the issue?
