Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to setup enrollments. First of all, is there a way to notify somebody when a user has enrolled on an event? I am confused about the way the notification settings are shown and I am not sure what goes where. I just to notify the site admin about a new enrollment. How shall I do that?

Besides, as we have lost those notifications, how do I know who has enrolled so far and to which event? I found a table called eventssignups, but it just goes by userid. Is there a view to use to see the names of the enrolees?

Btw, Aderson video mentioned in the codeplex documentation seems to be a premium one.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Franco

Hi Franco,

Just wanted to check what version of the module you are using, since we have added extra flexibility around notification emails in version 6.1.1

The owner of an event should get an email notifying of any enrolment. If you aren't getting these then please check your SMTP settings. These should come 'from' the email address specified in the General Settings. If you want the site admin to get the emails, make them the owner. If you want others to be able to edit the events, then you can make them a moderator (event editors can create and edit their own events).

Any enrollments are shown on the Edit Event view, and can optionally be shown on the Detailed Event view - there are settings in the module settings and individual event settings to enable this.

Cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,

thanks a lot for the fast turnaround, that explains it.

I have created the events under host (owner is 'superuser account'), but the host email was not configured. That explains why I did not get them (SMTP is configured correctly because contact forms work fine, by the way, no issue form that side).

However, how do I send those notifications to a third party (the event organiser, in fact) when this person is not editing the site nor the event, but just asks me to do it on his behalf?

The version I am using is 6.0.4 on dnn 6.1.5 and I cannot upgrade, at least for now.

Franco

Hi Franco,

I would setup an account for them on your site. When you create the event, set them as the owner. You can allow owner change in the General Settings.

Cheers
Roger

Roger, there are other users defined in the system, but I cannot make them owners of the events as they do not appear in the field dropdown selection. What's missing?

Thanks
Franco
