Are there questions that I can could answer (or help find answers to) that would be helpful?

Well you could hop over to http://www.dnnsoftware.com/forums/for....  I'd suggest the issue tracker (https://dnntracker.atlassian.net/brow...) but all the useful comments have been thrown away, or deleted, or made invisible to me.

FYI All Gemini issues are still visible via the archive i.e. http://supportarchive.dotnetnuke.com/... . I don't know why it was closed, and it certainly should have had a closing comment explaining why, but you can always reopen an issue (I have done so on your behalf)

Sorry, I should have clarified that the issue with the missing comments was caused by a faulty import - we had custom scripts to transfer data between genini and jira and these worked perfectly in almost every case, however in a few (typically those where html markup was within some of the comments) the import would "skip" that comment. We manually processed those that were most relevant i.e. open tickets, but as a (wrongly) closed ticket this was not reviewed as closely (plus the supportarchive would be there anyway)

thanks.

Thank you Cathal.

How would I re-open an issue? AFAICT I have no ability to do that. In the tracker the only link, that seems able to affect the issue, is for adding a comment.

Best wishes,

It may be a permissions issue (I'm not a jira administrator so can't check), but I was under the impression that the original reporter could reopen the issue. I guess if that's not the case then adding comments would be the best approach - or you could always create a new issue and link it to the old one (as a "relates to").

"If things are really *that* bad why are we still here? Why don't we take the source and start our own distribution if this is such a bad place to be?"

That is actually a very good point!
