I have been using DNN since the the 3.0 release. I very rarely change any of the source code of DotNetNuke because it is such a pain when trying to upgrade to the newest version of DotNetNuke. Though there have been times when I have needed too. Does anyone know if the new version of DNN will provide events that we can handle such as User_Registered or User_LoggedIn.

My current client wants to use the forums in DotNetNuke but one of the features that it lacks is a way to see the initial IP address that user registered with or the current IP address of a user if they are logged in.

I have a little "extension" to DotNetNuke that I have built to capture events such as these though it is a hack.

If anyone has any ideas or has done something similar in the past I would love to hear about it.

Many Thanks,

Michael
