Hi ,

I have two DNN 6.0.0 site, one for internet and one for intranet ( Windows Authentication). Recently I'd like to upgrade to 6.2.9. The internet portal upgrade very smoothly and works fine after upgrading (some pages the skin point to teleric.web.ui instead of dotnetnuke, change to UI.Skins... now point to dotnetnuke and works).
The trouble is the intranet portal. I just copied the unzipped upgrade package to the DNN folder, the then site cannot access, prompt that too many redirects, no pop up window for user id and password. I updated back the global.asax ( which is standard and no change from DNN package, only one row in the file.

6.2.9: <%@ Application Inherits="DotNetNuke.Web.Common.Internal.DotNetNukeHttpApplication" Language="C#" %>

  6.0.0: <%@ Application Inherits="DotNetNuke.Common.DotNetNukeHttpApplication" Language="C#" %>

Now the windows popped up for userid and password, but after that, just get the geneal 500 error.

Please help!

did you unblock upgrade package prior to unzipping it (file properties, at the bottom of first tab)?

Hi Sebastian,

I just unzip DotNetNuke_Community_06.02.09_Upgrade.zip to a folder. I'm not sure what you mean bottom of first tab).

My internet portal upgraded completely successful using the same upgrade package. I think the only difference between the two sites is the windows Authentication. When I try from my local pc (IIS, DB all are on my local pc), I'm hit by the following error:

Thank you for your help.

Windows knows that the zip file was downloaded from the Internet and about the file included dll files it blocked this by Default.  So you have to right click the ZIP file, open the advanced settings and unblock it on the bottom of the first Tab of the advanced Settings the file (allow to Access the file downloaded from the Internet).

After this you can first extract the zip file completely.

If you had already runing the upgrade with Errors, you have to restore database and files from previous done backup, and check if the page run as aspected.  Then ectract the files from the zip file and run the upgrade.

Hi,

I was hit by the WindowsSignin.aspx should NOT allow anonymous access. error when I launch from IIS, but if I launch from VS2010, it was no such issue.

Thanks
