Are you trying to run DNN 4 in ASP.NET 1.1?  If so, you need to configure IIS so that it runs in ASP.NET 2.0.  This is done in the IIS Manager - right-click your website, click properties and adjust the setting in the "ASP.NET" tab.

Have installed ASP.NET 2.0 but it's still recognised as 1.1. Tried to change the version in IIS manager but the option is disabled.

There is an app called .NET Configuration Wizard 1.1 but nothing for 2.0.

There is no uninstall option in Add/Remove programs for 1.1 as there is with ASP.NET 2.0 and I think that 1.1 may have been installed from the installation of other software.

With ASP.NET 2.0 set for the target site in IIS Manager it still shows 1.1 in the web.config result.

A simple fix may be to copy the files from the 2.0 folder to the 1.1 folder, but am worried about sites using 1.1 (redundant functions).
