that functionality is in the dnn.xml.jsparser.js script file. This has a similar browser check in clientApiCaps.config, so I'm guessing you only added your new browser match to the

<functionality nm="DHTML" desc="Dynamic HTML"> node.

You'll have to add it to <functionality nm="XMLJS" desc="Requires Javascript Client Side XML Parsing"> for that script to be included - personally speaking I would add it to each <functionality> node (or else just add a <browser nm="*" /> to each)
