Hi,

I have setup the DNNDev.me according to Chris H's 4 part video series.  In place of extracting the full 7.X, I restored my production site using a commercial backup module.  One strange behavior that I am seeing is that I browse to http://www.dnndev.me and it constantly redirects to my production site.   I have made sure that all connection strings were updated in web.config.  I manually changed the PortalAlias table and set the one record to the default.    I even deleted all other records, but the redirect still occurs.

What else could cause this redirect?

Thanks,

Mike

DNN seems to cache the result of querying the PortalAlias table.

So a change to the table usually need to be followed by some action to restart the app pool. Could it be that you are just seeing the impact of stale data from PortalAlias?

It persists after a reboot on that particular machine which is Windows 8.1. I have no problems with this on earlier versions of Windows however. I'm still not sure what the problem is. I will keep trying.

Thanks,

Mike

No, but I did have another friendly URL provider installed, I will check by disabling it to see if that resolves it.

Thanks,
