Hi,

I use DNN 7.01.02 and am unable to change the password for subscriber.  I am logged in as host.  When I hit the manage password tab and try to change it, I get this error:

There was an error setting the password. The password has not been changed.

Under the manage account tab, I hit the Force Password Change option, which sent to my email, as I had my email as the user's email address.  When I clicked the link, I got this error:

Failed to reset password - either the username/token combination is invalid, or the token has expired.

I looked on the board and found this advice: the workaround is to disable password history via host->host setting ->advanced settings->membership management and uncheck "enable password history"

Anyone have any advice?

Did you uncheck the enable password history checkbox and update/save host settings? 

If yes try the clear DNN cache and maybe even go as far as restart application and even your browser cache to see if that fixes your problem.

I'd recommend upgrading to a newer version, there were a few quirks around passwords in the 7.1.1/7.1.2 releases (such as the password history one Mike mentioned), AFAIK they were all resolved by 7.2.0
