I was referring to the tree view in Admin > Pages, is your home page on top level?
Are you still using DNN default skin?

When you say "home page on the top level", do you mean at the top of the tree? If so, no, it shows below "Getting Started".

I just re-ordered it so Home is now at the top of the tree, just below the website name.

Regarding skins, when I loaded DNN originally, yes was using the default Gravity skin, but loaded Greytness2. Is there an issue with this Skin? I have gone back and set all pages so that I am using Gravity again, still having issue with "getting Started" page loading for Home and About Us pages.

Bruce,

Never mind with the "Getting started" is the first entry in the tree - the "Home" page should be in the same level, e.g.

- Getting Started
- Home
- About us
- Forums
- etc.

It should not be like

+ Getting Started
  - Home
- About us
- Forums
- etc.

(in this case, "Home" is a child page of "Getting startet"). That is what Sebastian means with "top level".

Best wishes

Michael

Michael (and Sebastian),

Thanks for the patience guiding me! Very much appreciated.

The Page Tree shows that the "Home" page is on the top level, also that the "Home" page settings are correct with no other pages being a parent page on top of it.

I think something got messed up for some reason, easier to re-load the server from scratch! :-) Takes me about an hour plus 3-4 hours for updates from MS.

Once this is done then I can re-load DNN and start from scratch. It is a learning experience for me so loss here!

BTW, does HMTL Pro load with the DNN install? I seem to be getting only HTML, which the editor is not the same full feature as shown in the Getting Started video?

Bruce,
I agree, sometimes it is easier to start from scratch, you just need to clear the content of the website folder and the database (if not using user instance Db with SQL Express).
HTML Pro module is part of evoq products and not contained in DNN Platform, same applies to the RichTextEditor, where evoq uses a commercial license, while DNN Platform comes with Telerik RadEditor). I suggest installing free CkEditor (leading open source WYSIWYG editor) from www.dnnckeditor.codeplex.com, which has numerous features and customization options for the toolbars.
