Bruce,
I agree, sometimes it is easier to start from scratch, you just need to clear the content of the website folder and the database (if not using user instance Db with SQL Express).
HTML Pro module is part of evoq products and not contained in DNN Platform, same applies to the RichTextEditor, where evoq uses a commercial license, while DNN Platform comes with Telerik RadEditor). I suggest installing free CkEditor (leading open source WYSIWYG editor) from
www.dnnckeditor.codeplex.com, which has numerous features and customization options for the toolbars.
Thanks Sebastian, I'll look into the CkEditor once I get a little farther along.
Right now I am pretty frustrated! :-(
I put a new/clean installation of MS Server 2008 Standard 32 bit on the server, did all the MS Updates, installed the MS DNN Hotfix, and then installed DNN (new website, not default, put it in INETPUB/WWWROOT, with correct URL).
Now you would think that would fix the problem? Well when I hit the website remotely (outside of the server/host site), the URL for the website takes me to the Getting Started page, as well as the About Us page. The Contact page works correctly and Our Products page as well. I created a new page (Forums) and installed the Active Forums module/extension, that also takes me to the Getting Started page when accessed remotely.
When I use IE on the server, everything seems to work just fine, Home page show me the correct Home page for Awesome Cycles as well as the other default website pages and the newly created Forums page.
Any ideas as to why when accessing remotely I get the Getting Started pages but on the server seems to work fine?
