OK I seem to have fixed the problem for you. I'm not quite sure how - all I did was switch on the 404 Log in the Portal Urls screen (just so I could see the log) and then all of the incorrect URls I tried started working correctly - or maybe you fixed it before I saw it.

Anyway, it is working now. I see a lot of 404 entries in the 404 log with a referrer of Google - you should go in and create redirects to redirect traffic for those URLs to somewhere else in the site - that way you will preserve traffic and help with rankings - sooner or later Google is going to de-list those URLs from the index, so the site will be missing out on traffic.

404 issue seems to be resolved for HTML pages but still for pdf files on the google search. Please let me know how I can fix this using infinity urls.
