Hi,

I have installed the latest version of Infinity url master module and licensed not trial with dotnetnuke version 7.0.5  and 301 redirect and 404 for html pages not working .

My old site was having both .htm as well as .html pages and even pdf files which are coming on google search results. I want to do 404 redirect for pdf files, .htm and .html pages . Also, added 301 redirect for one .htm page and for some .html pages but 301 redirect for .html pages not working . 

I have added following to my web.config

eg. 404 REDIRECT NOT WORKING FOR  http://www.reltekllc.com/kajdsj.html  , 301 redirect for http://www.reltekllc.com/bondit-b46.html not working . 

Also, I have already removed .htm and .html from regix of page urls under admin and friendly urls under host.

Pranav - you have associated the .html extension with the asp.net runtime correctly (i.e., the web.config entries are correct).  I can tell this because it is throwing the asp.net 404 error page and not the IIS error page.

Please check the 'ignoreRegex' setting in Url Master and determine if it still includes the html and/or htm extensions in the list.

I am not sure if you have read this, but this guide for redirecting .html pages is still current for the Url Master product:

Please ensure that all the instructions in this blog post have been followed.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for you response with the info. I have already followed the guide you mentioned in your last comment.

Please check this http://www.reltekllc.com/kajdsj.html. Its not working .I was supposed to redirect to 404 page and 301 redirections are still not working.

In 'ignoreRegex' the html and htm already removed as per the guide.

Have you set the 404 page for the portal?  (the web.config screenshot didn't work - if you do this make sure you obscure your passwords)

Hi Bruce ,

I have checked and found that 404 redirect is enabled inside portal urls settings.

Also, when I goto freindly urls setting under host I see following message at the footer "The current settings allow for Http Compression to be used on this DNN Install. It is not currently being used - this is normal." when I test following url http://www.reltekllc.com/kajdsj.htm for 404 which is not working.

Here is my web.config with no actual database details :- http://tardis1.tinygrab.com/grabs/aba...


Please help me in fixing this issue asap. Also, I can send you website access if you can provide me your email.
