Good morning Dnn users and powerUsers,

I am dealing with a portal that should have few pages localized for languages, I know that there is functionality implemented in Dnn to <Localized Content>, but its implementation create more burden than solve problems. For example, we have several redirect to one or other page depending users security groups, that will break enabling the multi-page-per-language-localized-content

So, for the few content that we want to have language specific (Landing/about/contact), it would be ideal, if we could have a HTML module that could support some short of localization. Either by taking texts form resx file, either by having few HTML modules in the same webpage and configuring its display/hiding depending of the active language, either by having few language-dependant tabs within the module, or any other solution.

I have a feeling, after test content localization for couple of weeks, that the approach that DNN took for supporting this feature may not have been the most optimal for sites with dynamic content, modules that should span across different languages, an keep a "easy" maintenance of multi-language portals. Told with all respect, and assuming this feeling is probably due to my relative short experience with DNN.

there used to be an ML Version of HTML module on codeplex, called Nuntio Content, you may want to check out.

Hello Sebastian,

thanks for the module, that's indeed seems what I am looking for.

I wrote here to explain how I made it "compatible for azure"

First time I have try to install in DNN over Azure, and it raise an error about REPLICATION not supported in Azure (a problem with the SQL script)

Therefore, I delete the sql condition "NOT FOR REPLICATION" on two lines from the file :
Nuntio Content_5.1.0_Install \ Providers \ DataProviders \ SqlDataProvider \ 04.02.00.SqlDataProvider

That way the module come into DNN without issues, I know the "patch" is a dirty one, therefore I added https://nuntiocontent.codeplex.com/wo...

But...

Either way, I am not sure if due to the change I made into the SQLscript, but I am not able to save anything in the module (Update button seems to work, Update & Exit button does not exit when something has been entered) and out of exit mode nothing is shown, whether I come again into edit mode, a empty module once again.

the SQL modification you made should not affect function of the module in general.
I'd assume there are client side conflicts and suggest turning on script error display in your browser to get further details.
