- did you adjust both Connection strings in web.config?
- is new Domain address added to PortalAlias table?

Sebastian sir,

Thanks a lot for  answering

I had installed DNN in my localhost, I did choose the auto option.

My local siteis working fine.

Now I ftps all my local dnn website   folders and filed to the live server without any change.

I had the database details for live server( DBname, userid, password)

 Now Please guide what should I do so that I can come out this problem..

 <connectionStrings>
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005/2008 Express -->
    <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005/2008
    <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;uid=;pwd=;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
    -->
  </connectionStrings>
  <appSettings>
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005/2008 Express - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules   -->
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True" />
    <!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005/2008 - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=(local);Database=DotNetNuke;uid=;pwd=;"/>
    -->

if your live Server is NOT SQL Express Edition (but SQL Server Standard, Web, Professional, Enterprise), you need to attach the database to SQL Server first and create a Login.
You Need to modify both Connection strings to look like the commented Versions ("Server=(local);Database=yourDatabaseName;uid=yourUserLogin;pwd=yourPassword;"
