I am a user of dotnetnuke for over ten years. My choice was a success but what has been and remains essential is the existence of Ventrian modules (in order of importance property Agent, News Articles and Simple Gallery) that have allowed me to achieve all that in the years my customers asked for.

Now that Scott has almost abandoned the development of these modules, I wonder with great concern about the future if I have to change my initial choices. I do not understand as a fundamental tool as Ventrian modules have not yet been acquired by DNN corporation ensuring a secure future to them.

8 out of 10 websites that I built I had to use Ventrian PA to achieve what I am asked by customers, and if DNN corporation looks to the future can only come to the conclusion that such an important product can not be overlooked!

I totally agree!!!

The ventrian modules have proved themselves and still have a lot of potential to stay/become the best sold/used modules within the DNN Community. It would be very sad if it would stop now. There must be a way to keep the Ventrian modules alive and even boost the development of the modules.
I understand Scott is real busy and the need to move to C#/MVC/Razor but there must be a solution/way.

Unfortunately Scott doesn't reply on what his future plans are: http://support.ventrian.com/entries/9...

Already posted this on the Community Voice http://www.dnnsoftware.com/voice/use-...

The developmnt of Ventrian module must continue!

Scippy,
please be aware that DNN Corp is a commercial entity, which is primarily making profit by selling Evoq Content and Evoq Social, besides it stewards DNN Platform Open Source Software, an effort they may justify versus their shareholders by using it as platform for their commercial products. They have no interest in additional components bundled with DNN Platform - and we should be happy to have independent vendors with great extensions for DNN Platform on the market, instead of getting it bundled with Evoq products.

Cheers from Germany,

Hi scippy,

I agree with Sebastian, Its up to the 'community' or users of the module , not the corp to solve the problem by buying the module for the community.

In my point of view you should be contacting the vendor for a solution. If the vendor is not going to, or not willing to develop the module further you should ask the vendor for a solution or look for replacement module.

Regards,

Geoff

You are right! unfortunately I am not able to find or propose a solution for Scott, but if it is not in the interest of DNN corporation there are several companies developing for DNN that if they open their eyes could see a great business opportunity and propose a solution to Scott.

About look for replacement module unfortunately there is no such thing as Ventrian, and alternative solutions are light years away from potential achieved by the Ventrian modules!
