Hi, currently using 07.03.04
When I make changes to the pages on the site, it shows the change in view but does not save after exiting the page editor.
I believe it may be a permission error although I log in as Admin. When I look at the page permissions it shows check (tick) boxes for Registered Users etc' but has a padlock symbol where the Admin check boxes should be.
Any clues on what I need to change?

Thanks

Is this a recently upgraded site? What version did you upgrade from?

Padlock where Admin is, is normal.

If you upgraded from an older version (pre 7 perhaps?) of DNN, you are likely are still using the FCK text editor, which I believe breaks in DNN7. You can go to the host/Html Editor Manager page and choose a different text editor. Then try saving changes.

One other thing to be aware of, if you are in EDIT mode in one TAB in your browser, and making changes, yet you have another TAB open that you are navigating around on the same site, you will often times kick yourself out of Edit mode and changes won't save.

Thank you for the information - i will work on it.
I have dug a bit deeper snd I can Edit Module Settings but not Edit Content. I have noticed that the version history is only displaying 1 on the live site.
Maximum  Number Of Versions: 5
Version: 1
Workflow Used: Direct Publish
Workflow State: Published
A copy of the site that is on my development machine using Webmatrix displays 5 versions for the same page.
The install on the live was a clean install of DNN 7.03.03 uploaded the pages etc' then upgraded to 7.03.04.
When I click on Event Viewer get a "Server Error in '/' Application".
Any further sugestions would be appreciated.
Thanks and regards,

Solved: I found that in this case it was log file size,
The hosting provider I am using allows SQL database size of 500mb. My total size was 630mb with 545mb of this was log files. I cleared most of the log files using MS SQL Manager and the site is now allowing updates to pages again.

I hope the above info might help some one else one day solve an issue like this.

Cheers

PS:  I now just have o fix the original error that caused the log file to keep writing that it couldn't write to the log file, while it was writing to it :-)

regarding Transaction log file size, I suggest running the database in simple recovery mode will prevent unnecessary growth of the .log file.
