(I have a bad leg from a half marathon in the Spring )  Thanks for pointing out the problem.

LOL,  I don't think anyone said anything about your bad leg Stuart.
Thanks for the update.

Hahaha.

Alright, what can I say?  I am really proud of my wife and really sad about my leg. :(

But seriously folks.  Give the module a try and I hope you like it.

Hi Stuart,

I've downloaded and installed the October 16th version.  Unfortunately, I have no success.  When I change the content, an e-mail is not sent out to my "Test Role" with a "Test User" assigned to it.

I did notice that the common theme is if the Role exists in the aspnet_roles table then it works fine.  Then  I noticed that when adding a new role via the Admin Menu, it gets added to the Roles table and not the aspnet_roles table.  In earlier versions, it used to.  I understand that that is no longer the case and that information is now kept in the DNN Tables as indicated by the following link:

http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=3276

I realize that I'm using 3.3.5 and not 4.x but the activity in the link is happening to me.

Is it possible that there is an issue when the e-mail list is constructed for users that have roles in the Roles table.  Is it maybe still going to the aspnet_roles table (or some similar logic).  Just a hunch, I'm not sure.

I can still confirm that members of the Administrators role receives the e-mail as soon as I change the text in the module's content and clicking on update. No problems there.

Thank you for the quick response and awaiting your opinion and fixes.

 omuftah,

If you would do me a favor I would appreciate it.  Go into the settings on the module.  Set up the module for the proper notifications.  Then Send a Test Email.

Does that work for you?  Right now it looks like you can Send a Test Email fine, but you can't use the Notifications on Update.  I want to make sure you are experiencing the same thing before I continue.

Stuart,

Here is the info:

Does sending a Test Email work?

Yes. I receive an e-mail instantly to the Test User account.  Test User is a member of Test Role.  Test Role is checked under Module Settings.  No other email addresses are typed in the "Email List"

Do you receive an e-mail when you click on Update?

No. I modify the Module's text content and I click on Update.  The Test User does not recieve an e-mail.
