Hello!

What is the proper way to set view permissions at "page / tab level"? Obviously there are some problems with this functionality on DNN 7.4.0.

Our task is to "lock down" some pages - so only users in certain role could access content (modules on that page). Otherwise they would be redirected to login page.

What is the proper way to achieve that - look at the screenshot below - only advertisers should see this page (users in other roles should be redirected to login)..

The same configuration works, if we try to set the permissions at module level.

Regards

if only certain users should be allowed to modify content, the setting above is correct.
If you want them to view the page, but not certain modules, you'll have to adjust module permissions.

Hello! Thanky you. You're talking about "modyfing contet" - what if we just want to set VIEW permission for "Advertisers". So only user in role "Advertisers" would be able to access a page - otherwise they would be redirected to "login". Is configuration seen on 1st screenshot correct? It seems that this configuration does not work properly..

if a user is unable to view a page, he gets a 404 error (not found), this is by design.
You would need to make the page visible and hide the modules, and place another module on the page for non-authorized users to login to get the content displayed

Sebastian thank you! Configuration that you mentioned is the one - we are currently using. Nice to know that there is no "elegant" option to "lock down content" at pages (tabs) level.
