Hi team,

currently we upgrade version from 6 to 7.4,

One of the page in my site is "FAQ", if click FAQ its not working, so i search inside code.

this page is designed in ViewFAQ.ascx file, but inside that file code behind is ViewFAQ.ascx.cs.

i search many times in side my website folder, that .cs file not found anywhere.

but one of my another system this FAQ function is working fine, in that system also don't have .cs file, but its working fine.

now my question is

why my system not working for FAQ, but how another system working fine?
my website that particular page name is FAQ.aspx, but why not able to find that file in my website folder?
what is going wrong in my system?
how to solve this issue?
have any way to find that .cs file inside website folder?

Hope will get reply soon, please share with me your ideas for further.

Thanks & Best Regards
G.Renga

G.Renga,

I assume you are using the DNN FAQ module. As this is a compiled module, the code behind is somewhere compiled into a DLL.

Did you try upgrade to the latest version of the module? This would be the first thing I would try.

Saying "if click FAQ its not working" is not an adequate description to get you useful help.

You need to:
- say what you did
- say what happened
- say how that was different to what you expected

G.Renga,

first go to Host :: Extensions, then find the FAQ extension. The version of this extension is displayed in the line where the extension is listed. As far as I can see from here, the current version is 5.1.1 - if you have a lower version, download the install file and install it as you would install any other extension. This upgrades the module.

Modules are not updated when updating the core system - there is a way to do that by including the install package in the /install/module (or install/skin, /install/provider etc. depending on the type of extension) folder before upgrading the system.

The source code is not included in the module, you have to download the source package if you are interested in. If you want to do changes you better do this using GitHub, if there are bugs you can make a pull request. Please refer to the GitHub articles in the Community blogs here.

Happy DNNing!
Michael
