Ok, now I see. Those are those leftovers, I believe some can be fixed by adding them into Forum .css file, but at least one I need to take a closer look.

Will fix these tomorrow, but until then, you can do following:

1. Remove from Forum_PostEdit.ascx this:

width="450" height="350px"

2. Add into blue.css file these

.dnnForm .dnnLeft {    float: left;width: 99%;}
.dnnLabel { width: 12%;}

Will see some more better values for these, you can also play with these. But with these you can make the editor area bigger.

How difficult would it be to branch 5.00.4 and add the timezone changes to that branched release?

So there would be a 5.00.4.1 release with the timezone changes?

I have Visual Studio 2015 installed, so not sure how fast I can gear up to make changes in the code, but I have developed projects before...just mainly in C# and not VB.
