And the browser stops refreshing there...

If I refresh (under the developer port) all works fine, although it initally whinges about some modules not being loaded. A refresh and off it goes.

However, of I try access the site outside of the developer port from VWDE, it simply crashes with a server not found or dns error...which is kinda bizzare....Ive checked IIS, all fine...

My first concern is the install stopping at Forum everytime...then obviously, trying to get it running through IIS properly, and then of cours,e uploading the site to a remote server and trying to make it work...

Any hints/tips?

Ok, to clarify...

I have installed the latest ver using VWDE and SQLE on a Windows XP Pro (laptop) running IIS5.1 and .NET2.0....

Through the VWDE local Dev Server, the portal works fine...

Through IIS, I get:

Error Installing DotNetNuke
Current Assembly Version: 04.03.02
ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

I have checked ALL the permissions on the dir, and all good. I have checked the connection string, and its at default. Even if I make the path relative to the local machine "C:\inetpub\portal\App_Data\Database.mdf" I get the same...

VERY VERY confused...

Any help appreciated.

Ok, rebooted....clean reboot...nothing running....

I go to http://localhost/Portal and get:

Unhandled Error

Error Details

File
Error  Failed to update database "C:\INETPUB\PORTAL\APP_DATA\DATABASE.MDF" because the database is read-only.

Ive set all the permissions the best I know how....set up the local user, inet user, netwrk etc all to complete permissions...
