Thanks Will. Just installed it on a local machine and the upgrade to 3.7.8 went fine. Then I tired to use the AFImport 1.0.8. All checks pass now before it starts. However, the migration fails with the following error:
Error processing data. See message below.
LoadingProcessing...DO NOT CLOSE BROWSER

And there are no further messages shown. It sits there like this for hours and doesn't do anything. No errors reported in Event Viewer either, so have no idea what the problem is.

While you are here, it is possible to reset the license so I can at least have the forums back online while working on some upgrade solution. I have already PMed you the license codes, etc, but can do it again if you did not get them. Much appreciated.

Desperately need some advice on this Active Forums Import tool. It goes through the checks and passes as shown below. but then when it starts to go through import it throws a generic error. I am trying this on a local server.

Active Forums 3.7 to 4.0 migration wizard
The migration wizard will walk you through migrating all of you existing Active Forums 3.7 content to Active Forums 4.0. The migration process can take as little as 10 minutes or up to 1 hour depending on your forum content.

Verify Conversion Requirements
License validated Pass
SQL Server 2005 Pass
Active Forums 3.7.8 Pass
Active Forums 4.0 Pass

Then I press "next".... and "click to begin" and then i get

Error processing data. See message below.
LoadingProcessing...DO NOT CLOSE BROWSER

But there are no messages. How can I tell what's wrong?

This situation is proving to be very frustrating. All that happened is a change of server and now it is not possible to either get a license to activate the current Active Forums or upgrade it to a newer version!
