I'm using winhost and under their DotNetNuke Edition they have Version 8.0.3 Platform. I made an installation of DNN8.0.3 platform. Then moved it to a new folder under the root. I pushed up the DNN7.2 version of the site that I was asked to migrate from a previous host. Changed the web config and set up my databases. Everything went well.

A few of the contact forms on the site were coming up with "Failed to initialize" and I pushed up the ActionForm files and they started working again. One contact form is still completely missing with no errors tied to it that I know of. So I logged in with the SuperUser and I attempted to "Edit the page" to take a look. Apparently this button doesn't work at all. I looked up the errors with not being able to Edit Pages. I tried all the solutions under http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/problems-with-edit-mode. I tried the Workaround - Host -> Host Settings -> Other Settings and change the Control Panel from "Controlbar" to "Ribbonbar" . When I got to this setting and try to click on it I can't get it to do anything, meaning its disabled and I can't change Controlbar to RibbonBar, etc. I started looking at all the other settings and it appears that I can't change anything.

These are the JS errors that I have here:

I don't want to just do an upgrade unless this would absolutely fix this as it is only one contact form not working and it seems the site is up and running for the client, although we're probably going to run into this problem as soon as they ask us to change content.

Any help is appreciated!

It may be a host issue but maybe not. I have attempted to create new users, new super user, etc. And whenever I click "Add New User" I can see the pixels on the page shift to the right by about 10px. As if there is a modal pop up or something that should be showing but nothing pops up.

I have several console errors that seem to be across the site. Almost leaning towards this is a JQuery issue??
These are the Console Errors
8e88de3....147.jsUncaught TypeError: $.widget is not a function
User-Accounts:1538 - Uncaught TypeError: dnn.createGettingStartedPage is not a function
146b5c4….147.js:362 - Uncaught TypeError: $(...).html(...).dialog is not a function
146b5c4….147.js:7 - Uncaught TypeError: $modal.dialog is not a function

What does "pushed up" mean?

The error messages indicate that something is not installed correctly. This could be related to your "moved to a new folder." When you say that "everything went well." how do you know that his the case? Did the 8.0.3 website render, and were you able to check under Host Settings that it really was 8.0.3?

this sounds like a JS conflict, either with cached data or different versions of a script loaded by DNN, the skin and/or a module.
For DNN 7, you should use ControlBar, if necessary, you may edit the setting value in HostSettings table in the database (and restart IIS app pool afterwards to clear the cache).
