Hello. I have installed SQL Express 2016 and now I want to install Dnn Platform 8.0.3. I tried to install it with MS Web Installer 5.0 on Windows 10 but without success.

SCENARIO:

I created new Login User in my server security with gained privileges  only for one database that will Dnn use. When I started installation with MS Web Installer I could not set user that I created. It only have one field to fill, and that is password for 'sa'. Even when I put correct password for SA it can't pass. I don't know what is the problem.

if you are on your own web server, I suggest using nvQuicksite installer (www.nvquicksite.com)

If you have IIS and you are comfortable using it, you can download install package and extract in a folder and simply setup the site in IIS. Run the site and installation wizard should come and you can just use default options to install. In case you need to have specific DB credentials, either you can do by wizard or just edit web.config and put your DB connection string.
