Hi all, I have been asked to build a site for an arts community group that allows users to pay to subscribe as a member of the site. There are a few modules around that do this via PayPal which is fine. What I need to then happen is that once subscribed the user gets added to a subscriber role and has a page automatically generated for them based on their name. The page needs to have a place for them to enter a BIO, Profile image and a gallery of images (so i guess page could be based on a pre defined template of my choosing).

The aim is a site where artists who belong to the community can create a public profile page showcasing their work. It would be nice if they had the ability to choose if their profile page was viewable or not. There would be a central menu system where all the artists are listed with links to their profiles.

I realise there is a user profile/activity feed system in DNN already but not sure if this can be manipulated to meet these requirements.

Any advice greatly appreciated!

There are all kinds of ways to approach this use case with DNN. I'd suggest using Hotcakes of course to perform the e-commerce tasks. The profile page/area would be a combination of core and third party and/or custom modules though. It's difficult to say anything specific about how you'd accomplish much of this since there are no requirements to work against.

Our company could assist you with this, if you want. Feel free to contact us using the link below.

DNN contains a profile page by default for every registered user, which can be extended to multiple pages as well (e.g. displaying activities, group membership, etc.), even with custom modules for specific tasks (e.g. www.trans-ocean.org includes a page for ships and one for cruises of the member).
