I have tried following numerous instructions from different web sites trying to detail how to install a custom module in DNN 4.3.3. So far, none have worked.

I downloaded a module in .ZIP format. I went to my DNN site, logged in as Host. I went to Host, then Module Definitions. Then I went to Upload New Module, browsed and added my .ZIP file and then clicked Upload New File. It sits and thinks for a moment, like its actually going to work, then.... NOTHING! IT goes back to the Module Definition page and my new custom module is not there!!!

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

okay i have an answer to my own question after some extensive research (and help from a Partner). it is a known bug with 4.3.3.

what you have to do is drop the modules in .ZIP format into your \Install\Module directory. Then navigate your browser to http://www.domain.com/install/install?aspxmode=installresources

that should do it
