I have a fresh install of 4.3.3. Everything seems to be working pretty well, except that I cannot upload files via Admin -> File Manager.  Here's what I can do (by way of eliminating potential problem areas):
  • I can create Secure and Insecure folders in the File Manager and view their contents.
  • I can move/copy/delete existing files in the File Manager.
  • I can copy files via FTP. When I refresh the File Manager, the file is listed correctly (along with FrontPage _vti_cnf directories). --> Should I turn FrontPage extensions off?
  • I can upload images via Image Gallery and documents via the Documents module and they show up in the File Manager as expected.
But, when I try to upload files directly via the File Manager, the files do not show up in the listings even though DNN seems to indicate that the upload went OK.

Various attempts to Synchronize Folder (with Recursive checked), both in Admin and Host mode, have not worked (because the files are not even making it on to the system).

The Log Viewer is not showing any errors related to file uploads.

Ideas?

Note: I realize that a number of other users have recently reported problems with the File Manager (here and here). I'm not quite sure if my situation is exactly like their's, so thought it best to start a new thread.

Hi there,

Sometimes the solution for solving a problem is right under the nose. Maybe it is there too in your case. Did you try to navigate to the next page? (The footer section of the listview has a navigation controls in it.)

Later,

Zit.

I had the exact same problem with files not uploading in 4.3.3.  I can do it all day long in my default portal. However, any other portal can only upload to the root portal directory.  If you create sub directories and upload files to the new directory, the files never show up.  No error either.  I even tried logging in as Host on the portal that can not upload and it made no difference.  I checked all permissions and there is nothing I can see that would prevent the upload of files.

Thanks Zit, but it wasn't on the next page.

Just for giggles and squeaks I tried uploading and unpacking a zip file too -- nothing doing.

I doubt that this is it but verify that the "disk space" setting under "Site Settings" is not set to low.
