Hi,

Is it possible to send a newsletter from dnn with images embeded into HTML?

I am trying but full path to image is being replaced by outbind://......

Thanks

Mark

AFAIK, the only option is linking the images to an external path ("http://...").

yes, that what I do. All of my images are on a server and html has a full path to them http://servername/path/image.ext but when email arrives instead of http://servername i see outbind://some unique number/my relative path to image.

Any ideas?

Is it Exchchange doing it?

I tried to send mail to hotmail and my regular email with outlook 2003 - both not showing the images.

Thanks

Mark

I fear, this is done by text/HTML editor, so try to save using basic editor and check the result.

leupold ,

i enter the following html into the newsletter editor in HTML tab:

<html>
<head>
<meta
http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<title>
New Page 1</title>
</head>
<body>
here is a test image:<img src="http://www.myserver.com/images/some.gif"/>
</body>
</html>

and when I get email and do view source on it i see the following:

Dear mark,<br><br><Base Href='www.myserver.com'>here is a test image: <IMG src="/images/some.gif"">

What do u mean by using plain text editor?

Thanks

Mark
