So do I understand correctly, that blog entry permissions are assigned *only* to the specific user account that created the blog and is not assignable to a role?
If so, is this issue roadmapped for resolution with an ETA?
I'm sorry - is that actually true? Thats not very good at all ... I'm struggling to figure out what settings to use to allow people to create and edit blog entries. This is what I want to do:
I have a sub portal, lets call it A. On that portal there is:
- One Blog module, created by the Host account - does this mean only host can edit this blog????? That cant be right surely???
- One user with a role called blog_admin (just a normal role, does not have any portal admin permissions)
- Some users with a role called blog_contributor
- One parent blog. I want this to be editable only by the blog_admin role, or at least by "John" who is the user with this role
- Some child blogs, one for each person in the blog_contributor role, eg Bob, Jack, Sue, etc. I want each child blog to only be editable by the one specific user.
- I want any user to be able to comment on any blog, ie this means the registered users role should have comment permission.
I also have a 2nd (and 3rd, and etc) sub portal, with identical features.
Is this even possible?
Thanks
JK.
